Florida Georgia Line is an American country band formed by duo – Brian Kelley from Ormond Beach, Florida and Tyler Hubbard from Monroe, Georgia. The band has accomplished major triumph since their origin and are one of the best popular country music performers of 2010.  Their single Cruise released in 2012 is the record breaking digital country song ever in the US as of 2014 January. The band was formed in Nashville, Tennessee 2010. In 2011 December, they contracted a partnership deal with Joey Moi, Kevin Chief Zaruk’s and Big Loud Mountain. Their 2nd EP, It’z Just What We Do, registered on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

Both Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard grew interest in music over religious worship services. The duo bump into each other in 2008 at Belmont University via a university worship group, and after graduation, determined to give two years for themselves to be successful as a country band. They moved together and started doing odd jobs to pay bills and played in clubs on weekends. When free, they recorded their first Extended Play or EP, Anything Like Me in 2010 and distributed online. They stumbled on the producer of Joey Moi, Nickelback at a county fair, and the 3 started arriving in the studio together. Contrasting to usual country music sittings, the gang spent days refining songs, which were gathered together on the bands second EP, “It’z Just What We Do” in 2012. Major brands became attracted when the track Cruise first aired on The Highway, satellite radio channel and started selling big on iTunes, paving a contract with Republic Nashville/Big Machine Label Group.

The recent growth of Bro’ Country has seen bands like Florida Georgia Line – and artists such as Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean – really raise their profile and airtime. FGL we hope will be back in the UK soon rocking out another venue.
