Thomas Luther Bryan, professionally known as Luke Bryan born on July 17, 1976, is an American country-music singer and songwriter. Bryan started his career in music in the mid-2000s, composing songs for his long-time high school friends, performers Billy Currington and Travis Tritt.

Bryan was the recipient of the Country Music Association Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards and “Entertainer of the Year” award. Till date, Bryan has sold more 27 million singles and 7 million albums world-wide.

Early Life

Luke was born in Leesburg, Georgia. Just when Luke was to move Nashville at the age of 19, tragedy struck his family. His older brother was killed in a car accident. Luke instead, joined Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1999. He moved to Nashville after several years when his father encouraged him to make a profession in music. He triumphed as a songwriter, then again later on signed as a performer.


Music Career

I’ll Stay Me

Shortly after his coming in Nashville, Bryan became a member of publishing house. In the period in-between, Bryan co-wrote songs for Billy Currington’s. Later he signed a recording contract by Capitol Nashville. And released his first album, I’ll Stay Me. The album’s 2nd single, “We Rode in Trucks”, reached at No. 33 whereas “Country Man” peaked at NO.10.

Doin’ My Thing

In October 2009, Doin’ My Thing, Bryan’s second album was released. It included his fourth EP “Do I”.

Bryan performed on the episode of Celebrity Apprentice along with companion country celebrity Emily West. The mission for individual team was to make-over an emerging country star. His make-over failed to influence the panel of judges, leading the team to lose the task.

Tailgates & Tanlines

His 3rd album, Tailgates & Tanlines, was released on August 9, 2011. The album reached at No.1 on the Top Country Albums and No.2 on the Billboard 200. His EP titled Spring Break 4, turned out to be 1st album of his profession to top the all-genre album chart.

Crash My Party

Bryan’s released his 4th studio album, Crash My Party on August 12, 2013. The album’s first track, “Crash My Party”, was debuted in a performance at the ACM Awards 2013 and launched on April 7, 2013. The track reached No.1 on the Country Airplay chart.

Bryan is the only country performer to launch an album of 6 singles on both the Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and Media base Country chart.

Kill the Lights

Bryan released his 5th studio album in August, 2015, Kill the Lights. It sold 345,000 copies in first week of its release and moved ahead of Dr. Dre’s Compton to launch at No.1 on the Billboard 200

Bryan also performed in UK in 2015, first international tour in his career. Along with that he also stopped at Germany, Ireland, Norway and Sweden.

Personal Life

Luke Bryan is married to Caroline Boyer his college sweetheart, whom he met at Georgia Southern University. They got married on December 8, 2006 and have two sons.
