Brandy Clark may look relatively small and meek on stage but when she starts to sing she has a power that makes people sit up and take notice. Her appearance in the UK during the 2014 C2C music festival at the O2 blew many people away.

So far Brandy has only released one album. The album titled ‘12 Stories’ released back in 2013. Quite apt for a country music CD, as the album is one of those ‘just what it says on the tin’ niceties. Twelve stories set out in Brandy Clark style. Strangely enough the album only made it to 23rd in the US country charts. The main success though Brandy has had is with her unique song writing talents. Penning many popular songs you love to hear, without realising the lyrics were written by Clark. Songs like ‘Mama’s Broken Heart’ sung by Miranda Lambert, ‘Drunk Americans’ sung by Toby Keith, ‘Better Dig Two’ sung by The Band Perry (who many in the UK will remember performing at the 2015 C2C Country festival – and also ‘Follow Your Arrow’ sung by Kacy Musgraves. The latter song won the CMA 2014 Song of the Year award.

Having written songs performed by the likes of Keith Urban, Sheryl Crow, LeAnn Rimes, Darius Rucker and Reba McEntire – as well as having the legendary Vince Gill as a backing singer on her debut album, she certainly has some friends in the industry.

Brandy will be one of those one to watch stars. With a successful song writing career under her belt, and a good debut album we are eagerly anticipating the release of the forthcoming album she is currently working on.
